EASTEM Meeting (WP3)
On September 30 - October 3 2019 partners from the project “Euro-Asia Collaboration for Enhancing STEM Education” (EASTEM) (Erasmus + Capacity Building project (2019-2021), No. 598915-EPP-1-2018-1-SE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) are visiting Vilnius University. There are visitors from Sweden, France, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia universities. The researchers are discussing and deciding on guidelines for STEM centers at universities in Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand.
The visitors were welcome from Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy prof. Arūnas Poviliūnas. He also introduced situation on STEM centers in Lithuania. prof. Arūnas Poviliūnas says that during this meeting, there was a realization that there is a lot of STEM, that different cultures have their own STEM: “We had a multicultural event where different STEM cultures came together and in this multicultural environment it became clear for us that we are on the right track”.
